A man-made village pond in Rawra village of Rajasthan, constructed to harness rainwater, was the main water source of the region. The pond was saturated with silt after years of use and the village communities sought help in bringing it back to its original depth. In 2017 Hinduja Renewables executed the desilting operation of this pond. Ever since it continues to support the village communities.
Hinduja Renewables supports the Kaivalya Education Foundation in promoting the spread of education amongst the underprivileged. Besides many developmental activities in Rawra Village, Rajasthan, and Charanka Village, Gujarat, it has provided computers to the local Government Upper Primary Schools there to ensure computer literacy amongst students.
Hinduja Renewables partnered with Hinduja Foundation to provide solar-powered irrigation pump systems to farmers of Jawhar district in Maharashtra. These pumps have helped the farmers in growing more high-quality crops perennially, with improved yields.
The nearest healthcare facility for the villagers in the Rawra Village, Rajasthan was 25 km away. After many representations, the Rajasthan Government agreed to post a nurse for the Rawra village. However, the absence of basic infrastructure for the nurse severely impeded the purpose. Hinduja Renewables took upon itself to construct a medical dispensary along with accommodation for the nurse in the village. Ever since the village has access to basic healthcare facilities.
Lack of affordability and availability of veterinary facilities severely impacts the livestock dependent livelihoods of Rajasthan villagers. For their benefit, Hinduja Renewables organizes free Veterinary Camps to help treat their sick animals by professional vets. Animals are also administered immunization in this camp through Government Veterinary doctors who participate in these free camps.
